How about President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell and their declaration that Saddam Hussein’s regime possessed weapons of mass destruction, leading the U.S. into a disastrous invasion of Iraq? What evidence to this costly claim was subsequently uncovered?
None.

And most recently, when President Obama’s signature legislative measure, The Affordable Care Act, passed in 2009, he declared on many a public stage up to its implementation this year that “if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it.” Result?
Not true. In many a media circle, it has been dubbed “The Lie of The Year.”

Now, the same President expects you to fall prey to “The Lie of The Century,” and if his legislative agenda passes on the basis of his ultimate farce, “man-made global warming”, it will further erode the ever-stagnant U.S. economy and push additional American jobs offshore. To say nothing of the associated financial impact on you and me!
Yesterday was yet another historic day for the President and his administration, which I refer to collectively as “Abomination” because there is no more a rhythmic and accurate play-on-words to describe Obama and his incredibly inept staff and supporters across the country. Four years in the making, the 60 members of Obama’s National Climate Assessment & Development Advisory Committee published their views of the expected impact of climate change on the United States. To no one’s surprise, the report makes wild accusations that recent turbulent weather is the result of climate change, and that future unpredictable storms, droughts, etc will be the norm if restrictions are not made to curb carbon emissions, chief among them of course, being coal. Yet the report did not, presumably because it could not, definitively attribute this alleged climate change to human activity. Hardly a shocking, to put it mildly.Remember the years from about 1995 and forward, leading up to the turn of the twenty-first century, the infamous “Y2K” and the impending calamities that were likely to ensue? Beard-scratching federal technology “experts” and their co-conspirators in academia and the mainstream media incessantly forecasted expected doom. Failure on the part of business and government to safely save their data storage, re-program their ability to retrieve it, and then implement go-forward programming, would lead to a calamitous disruption of the world economy for weeks, month, even possibly years. What technological storms actually resulted? So what’s all the fuss about? Obama and his green army want to implement the tax-heavy regulations of The Clean Air Act. Specifically, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has re-proposed its desired regulation of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for future power plants. The agency also plans to finalize standards for existing plants by summer 2015. If implemented and combined with other proposed and newly implemented regulations, these GHG regulations would significantly reduce the use of coal as a power-generating source in America. Opponents claim doing so would result in a backdoor energy tax that would drive up power bills for American households and businesses and strangle economic growth. To make matters worse, the scientific basis for GHG regulations is dubious at best, but what is certain is that these regulations will raise energy prices and destroy jobs—with no noticeable climate impact.
Do you think the likes of China, India, and the rest of the developing nations in the world are going to follow suit and implement similar emission restrictions on their economies? Would the result of the U.S. going it alone on such a policy have any positive impact on reducing global warming? Can Obama enlist the support of “The Justice League” as a show of force to the rest of the world to follow his lead? The answers to the first two questions are an emphatic “no!’ The last question begs further discussion before drawing a final conclusion, due to the probability of the existence of The Justice League being in line with that of man having any impact on alleged global warming.
Think about the term climate change, and I emphasize “climate change”, not “global warming” or “man-made global warming.” The earth has experienced climate change from the beginning of its very existence, and long before life, let alone man, ever existed. The evidence of cataclysmic events scar our entire planet, yet these truths are conveniently ignored by these agenda-driven green alarmists. And of course, their very existence is owed to government support (read: tax-payer dollars) and private funding by green energy advocates who stand to benefit from billions in loans and grants from Washington! Remember Solyndra? Here’s a list of Obama’s pals and the amount of money they absconded via bankruptcy filings from the American Taxpayer, as of January of this year:

Don’t get me wrong, I am an advocate of clean technology and recycling, but only with the caveats that any supporting measures of correction are based on fact and are fiscally prudent. Let the venture capitalists and their funding decide what companies have the best business models for potential success; not the federal government. Cronyism and political pay-back determine winners and losers when Washington is handing out tax-payer funds. The legacy of Al Gore unfortunately lives on, the irony being that his lies with regard to man causing global warming and man’s ability to reverse its course, is, in fact the real “inconvenient truth.”
