Entrepreneurs can book 30-minute sessions with the city's Small Business Liaison to get guidance on permits, zoning, grants, incentives, signage rules and other local requirements that affect doing business in Carlsbad.

Carlsbad rugby star Solomon Williams drafted No. 2 by Seattle (thecoastnews.com) — Carlsbad rugby standout and Carlsbad High alum Solomon Williams has been drafted No. 2 overall by the Seattle Seawolves, taking his next step from a Carlsbad home to the pros.
