Performances at Your Library This Week

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Irish dancers and enjoy a concert by The Scarlet Furies.

In addition to its schedule of regular programs and special events, Carlsbad City Library offers two free live performances this week.

Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with The Butler-Fearon-O'Connor School of Irish Dance Performance. On Thursday, March 15 at 3:30 p.m., members of one of the top Irish dance schools in the country will present a free performance for library patrons of all ages. Students in the Butler-Fearon-O’Connor School have won numerous championship titles and several senior dancers with the school have toured with or are currently touring with shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. In the U.S., the school has locations in Northern and Southern California, including Carlsbad.

The performance takes place in the library’s Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium, located at 1775 Dove Lane. Seating is first come, first served. For more information, call 760-602-2047.
