Suspect Sought In North San Diego County Riverbed Murder

OCEANSIDE, CA — Authorities sought the public's help Thursday in finding a woman who is wanted on suspicion of murder in San Diego's North County.

Aarin "Angel" Sorenson, 49, is accused of being involved in the killing of 37-year-old Jacob Sanders, according to the San Diego County Crime Stoppers. Sanders was killed Dec. 26, 2022, in the riverbed area around Benet Road and state Route 76 in Oceanside.

Sorenson is a transient who has frequented Oceanside and Tijuana but could also possibly be in the Las Vegas area, police said. She was described as 5 feet tall and roughly 170 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes. She has also used the last names Perez, Rincon and Wujick.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to contact the Oceanside Police Department's Crimes of Violence Unit at 760-435-4378 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or sdcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
