The Lost Abby Brewery Yet Another Reason To Buy In San Marcos

In her article for the New York Times, Sarah Dickerman writesBeer, it seems, has become as much a part of the San Diego identity as surf and sun.

From the 50 breweries in the county, to beer tours gaining as much popularity as their wine tasting counterparts, to a phone app called Taphunter that updates users on beers on tap at local bars, the business of brewing has become part of the local cultural identity.

One brewery with notably unique offerings is the The Lost Abbey in San Marcos. With the tongue in cheek religious overtones of their various labels, beers like Inferno Ale and Angel's Share prove there is something for everyone, saints and sinners alike.

Up and coming businesses like this one, and an industry as a whole that is putting this part of San Diego on the map, add to the argument for rising home values in this part of the county.  With neighborhoods like the ones off South Rancho Santa Fe Rd/Via Allondra, and homes boasting 20% appreciation over the past 12 months, San Marcos is still an area where buyers can find exclusive homes without the luxury price tag. Find San Marcos homes here.
