• Castaic's Hornberger tosses 5 touchdowns en route to win over Canyon (signalscv.com) — Castaic flag football fans just saw junior quarterback Hailey Hornberger throw five touchdowns as the Coyotes crushed Canyon 38-6 to stay atop the Foothill League. Now they'll try to protect first place at home Thursday at 4:30 p.m. against Valencia, with league standings tightening and every remaining game treated like their Super Bowl.
• State issues audit over county response to landfill crisis (signalscv.com) — State auditors say L.A.
