Driver, 96, Crashes Into Castro Valley Burger Restaurant

There were no injuries reported.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — A 96-year-old woman crashed a 1985 Buick Electra into a Burger restaurant in Castro Valley this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers responded to 3714 Castro Valley Blvd. around 11:40 a.m. on report of a collision.

They determined that the Buick had struck a parked Ford F-150 before driving into the front of the Burger restaurant.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe the crash occurred while the driver was attempting to back out of a parking space. Impairment from drugs or alcohol is not suspected as a factor.
