Jurors found him guilty of voluntary manslaughter, not murder, after testimony described a dispute over $20 of marijuana and a claimed self-defense response to a perceived weapon. Β Β Β
β’ How nearly 2 million California homes must adjust landscaping under just-approved wildfire rule (fresnobee.com) β Homes in Castro Valley's East Bay hills are officially in California's highest wildfire-risk zones and will face new "Zone 0" defensible-space rules over the next several years. The regulations will require clearing flammable materials within 5 feet of structures, tightening landscaping under roof eaves, and eventually replacing nearby wooden fencing and gates with noncombustible materials in designated high-risk areas statewide.
