• Missing At-Risk Woman Last Seen In Castro Valley Headed For Daily Walk: Deputies (patch.com) — A 69-year-old woman is missing after leaving her home on the 19000 block of Forest Avenue in Castro Valley for her usual morning walk around 8 a.m. Sunday. She has cognitive and physical conditions that put her at risk, and deputies are asking anyone who may have seen her, or has security footage or tips, to contact the Alameda County Sheriff's Office immediately.
   

• Hayward recreation district gathers community input (tricityvoice.com) — Castro Valley residents are being invited now through Nov. 20 to share ideas online about how local parks, trails, and recreation programs should evolve over the next decade. The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District will use this feedback to shape its new master plan and host follow-up virtual community dialogues on the most common themes.
   

• County selects winners of youth poet laureate competition (tricityvoice.com) — Alameda County's Youth Poet Laureate winners were announced at a ceremony hosted at Castro Valley Library, spotlighting teen poets who will represent the county at events and community projects. The laureate and vice laureate, both from Dublin, draw on cultural identity, social justice, and Indigenous heritage, and plan to boost youth engagement with poetry across local schools and neighborhoods.
