Castro Valley Bicyclist Hits Hood Of Hit-And-Run Car
The victim was rushed to the hospital.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle whose driver then fled the scene in Castro Valley on Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded at about 9:15 p.m. to a collision reported on Center Street north of Fernwood Court.
They arrived to find a female bicyclist who had been struck as she rode her bike south on Center Street. She was ejected from the bike, hit the hood of the vehicle and then landed on the pavement, CHP officials said.

The vehicle, described as a black Honda Accord driven by a man possibly in his early 20s, fled south on Center Street and remains at large today, according to the CHP.
The bicyclist was taken to Eden Medical Center to be treated for her injuries and an update on her condition was not immediately available.
