CVSan: Castro Valley Litter Patrol Pilot

Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) is excited to announce its participation in the Castro Valley Litter Patrol. The Castro Valley Litter Patrol is a partnership between members of the Castro Valley/Eden Area Chamber of Commerce, ForestR, Alameda County Industries (ACI), and CVSan to discourage littering and to organize residents to help pick up litter around the community.

“Litter in the streets has been an ongoing issue for Castro Valley for several years. The prolific use of single-use items like food containers and cups significantly contributes to the litter we see in the streets. CVSan is excited to partner with other community members to address the litter issue.”, stated CVSan General Manager Roland Williams. Yon Hardisty from ForestR added, “The first step, in the greening of any community, is cleaning the lands around us, and ForestR is excited to be a part of this effort!”

The Castro Valley Litter Patrol is a six-month pilot program, with community litter pick-up events scheduled for the following Saturdays:

• Saturday, July 30th at 10:00 a.m.
• Saturday, August 20th at 10:00 a.m.
• Saturday, October 1st at 10:00 a.m.
• Saturday, October 29th at 10:00 a.m.
• Saturday, November 19th at 10:00 a.m.
• Saturday, December 17th at 10:00 a.m.
