Due to recent rainstorms in the area, Castro Valley’s wastewater collection system is at capacity. You can help reduce the amount of water entering our system and decrease the chances of you having a sewer backup in your home by using water only when necessary. Until the storm passes, please limit the amount you flush the toilet, take showers and do laundry and dishes. If you have a sewer overflow at your home or see a manhole in the streets overflowing, please call Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) immediately at (510) 506-5821.
