CVSan: CVSan General Manager Re-elected to CASA Board
General Manager Roland Williams was recently re-elected to the California Association of Sanitation Agencies Board of Directors.
Castro Valley Sanitary District’s (CVSan’s) General Manager Roland P. Williams, Jr. was recently re-elected to the California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) Board of Directors and will serve through 2024. He will also serve as the CASA Board of Directors Secretary-Treasurer for fiscal year 2021/22. CASA represents over 125 local public agencies that engage in the collection, treatment, and recycling of wastewater and biosolids to protect public health and the environment. For over 60 years, CASA has served as the leading voice for wastewater agencies on regulatory, legislative, and legal issues.
“Since the mid-1950’s CASA has been on the forefront in helping to create a clean and sustainable environment for California,” stated General Manager Williams. “In fact, in 1956, CVSan was one of the original six sanitary districts that helped to form the Association. It is an honor to continue CVSan’s history with the organization and to continue to make advancements in advocating on behalf of CVSan and other California wastewater agencies to be a leader in sustainability and the utilization of renewable resources”.
