CVSan: Earn a Coupon for a New Motor Oil Filter
From now until March 17th, you can participate in CVSan's Used Motor Oil Filter Exchange Program to receive $15 coupons for new oil filters.
Do you change your own oil and live in a single-family home? From now until March 17th, you can participate in CVSan’s Used Motor Oil Filter Exchange Program to receive $15 coupons for new oil filters.
To participate:
- Place your old filter in the zippered bag that comes in Alameda County Industries’ (ACI’s) free motor oil recycling kit to prepare it for curbside collection.
- Call or email ACI at least 24 hours before setting out your filter curbside and state that you will be participating in the Filter Exchange Program. ACI phone: (510) 483-1400. ACI email: info@alamedacountyindustries.com.
- Leave the sealed bag containing your filter at the curb on your collection day. Used motor oil can be set out next to your filter. Used motor oil must be collected using an ACI-provided motor oil recycling kit.
- ACI will collect the filter and oil and will mail you a coupon for a new oil filter the following week.
Used motor oil recycling kits include an empty motor oil jug and zippered bags. Call ACI to request delivery of these kits on your next service day.

Participants are eligible to receive one coupon per household per week during the filter exchange program period (up to five coupons total). The coupon is for a limited time only and expires on March 26, 2023. CVSan reserves the right to alter or cancel the program at any time for any reason.
