CVSan Earth Day Donation to Alameda County Community Food Bank
The Food Bank was presented with the donation of $1,370.00 at the July 3rd CVSan Board of Directors meeting.
Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) hosted its 16th annual Earth Day Clean-Up event on April 28, 2018. For the seventh consecutive year, CVSan provided each volunteer the opportunity to select one of four local charities to receive $5.00 on their behalf. CVSan is proudly donating a combined total of $2,050.00 to charity this year.
One of the charities selected for 2018 donations was the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB). ACCFB Corporate Partnership and Events Manager, Kathryn Weber was presented with the donation of $1,370.00 at the July 3rd CVSan Board of Directors meeting.
Kathryn said, “Thank you for considering Alameda County Community Food Bank as one of the Earth Day charities. We serve one in five members of the community, that means that the equivalent of twenty percent of Alameda County residents need our services. This $1,370 donation will provide 3,260 meals to children, adults, and seniors in need in Alameda County. Thank you again and we are honored to receive this donation.”
