CVSan Earth Day Donation to Castro Valley Arts Foundation

Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) hosted its 14th annual Earth Day Clean-Up event in April 2016. For the fifth consecutive year, CVSan provided each volunteer the opportunity to select one of three local charities to receive $5.00 on their behalf. CVSan is proudly donating a total of $2,880.00 to charity this year.

One of the charities selected this year was the Castro Valley Arts Foundation, which provides art education programs to all grade levels and presents a series of varied performances including music, dance, lecture, and theater. The Foundation was presented with their donation of $695.00 by the CVSan Board of Directors.

Castro Valley Arts Foundation President, Mary Ann DeGrazia, attended CVSan’s August Board meeting. Ms. DeGrazia stated that on behalf of the Foundation, she was thrilled and honored to receive the check. She added that the Foundation is a non-profit organization and has recently added comedy to their list of performances. She thanked CVSan for selecting the Foundation as one of the three Earth Day Clean-Up donation recipients.
