CVSan Earth Day Donation to Eden Counseling Services, Inc.

Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) hosted its 17th annual Earth Day Clean-Up event on April 13, 2019. For the eighth consecutive year, CVSan provided each volunteer the opportunity to select one of four local charities to receive $5.00 on their behalf. CVSan is proudly donating a combined total of $1,785.00 to charity this year.

One of the charities selected for 2019 donations was Eden Counseling Services, Inc. Eden Counseling’s Kathy Dyson was presented with the donation of $260.00 at the August 6th CVSan Board of Directors meeting. CVSan General Manager Roland Williams said, “The mission of Eden Counseling is to provide affordable, professional, and confidential counseling services to youth, adults, couples and families in Alameda County.” Kathy thanked CVSan for considering Eden Counseling as one of the charity groups and stated that the donation will help Eden service more people throughout Alameda County. Ms. Dyson added that Eden Counseling never turns anyone away and that they get referrals from schools throughout Castro Valley and from their website edencounseling.org.
