CVSan Earth Day Donation to Regional Parks Foundation
Regional Parks Foundation receives $1,320 donation at July 2nd CVSan Board of Directors meeting.
Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) hosted its 17th annual Earth Day Clean-Up event on April 13, 2019. For the eighth consecutive year, CVSan provided each volunteer the opportunity to select one of four local charities to receive $5.00 on their behalf. CVSan is proudly donating a combined total of $1,785.00 to charity this year.
One of the charities selected for 2019 donations was the Regional Parks Foundation. Regional Parks Foundation Public Affairs Office Specialist, Terri Biondi was presented with the donation of $1,320.00 at the July 2nd CVSan Board of Directors meeting.
CVSan General Manager Roland Williams said, “The Regional Parks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1969 to support the East Bay Regional Park District through fundraising to provide universal access, environmental stewardship, educational and recreational programs and the acquisition of parklands.” Terri said, “With this donation, the Foundation will send kids to camp that cannot go and also, the money will go towards environmental awareness programs throughout the summer.”
