CVSan Earth Day Donation to Rotary Club of Castro Valley
Rotary's Charles Mortimer and Jim Negri attended the CVSan Board Meeting on August 7th and were presented with the donation of $380.00.
Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) hosted its 16th annual Earth Day Clean-Up event on April 28, 2018. For the seventh consecutive year, CVSan provided each volunteer with an opportunity to select from four local charities to receive a $5.00 donation on their behalf. CVSan is proudly donating a combined total of $2,050.00 to charity this year.
Rotary Club of Castro Valley (Rotary) is one of the selected charities receiving a donation from this year’s Earth Day event. Current Rotary President, Charles Mortimer and Past Rotary President, Jim Negri attended the CVSan Board Meeting on August 7th and were presented with the donation of $380.00.
CVSan General Manager Roland Williams said, “Rotary Club of Castro Valley is a volunteer organization. Avenues of service include presenting a series of Summer Outdoor Movie Nights in downtown Castro Valley, organizing educational speakers, and providing vocational services. The Rotary Club of Castro Valley also offers grants and sponsorships to youth leagues and organizations, educational programs, and association memberships that benefit the community.” Charles thanked CVSan and stated the money will be used for the Annual Rotary Christmas Charity event, which CVSan supports.
