CVSan: Earth Day Donation to Woodroe Woods
On 9/6, Woodroe Woods Director Becky Paasche and Co-Director Maria Gresham were presented with a donation check of $285.00 from CVSan.
On September 6th, Woodroe Woods Director Becky Paasche and Co-Director Maria Gresham were presented with a donation check of $285.00 from Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) at the Board of Director’s Regular Board meeting.
General Manager Roland Williams stated, “On April 22nd, CVSan hosted its 19th annual Earth Day Clean-Up event and this was the 10th year where volunteers had an opportunity to select one of three charities to receive a $5.00 donation from CVSan on their behalf. $2,140.00 has been donated to charity groups from this year’s event.”
One of the charities selected for 2023 was non-profit organization, Woodroe Woods School. Ms. Paasche stated that “Woodroe Woods School has been around since 1974 and one of our goals is to be find a more permanent home in the Castro Valley/Hayward area.” Ms. Paasche thanked CVSan for the donation and stated they will likely use it towards beautifying their campus.
