CVSan Environmental Scholarship for High School Seniors
$1,000 scholarships available for students who are fostering environmental stewardship in their community.
Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) is pleased to announce the 2019/20 CVSan Environmental Leader in Waste Reduction Scholarship for high school seniors. Up to two students may be awarded a scholarship ($1,000.00 each) as a way to recognize those students who are helping their school to reduce waste by utilizing the tenets of the 4Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot.
CVSan values educating the community on how to reduce what is sent to landfill. This is the seventh year CVSan has offered the scholarship to high school seniors. The Environmental Leader in Waste Reduction Scholarship is intended to foster environmental stewardship and the leadership of those high school seniors who are taking action and are encouraging environmental awareness within their school and community.
