CVSan Freezes Sewer Connection Fees
Sewer connection fees will be held at current levels for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
As a result of an ongoing connection fees study, the Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) is holding its sewer connection fees at current levels for the 2016-2017 fiscal year (FY) pending the completion of the rate review.
This decision also stems from CVSan’s participation in the Open for Business Working Group, organized by Alameda County’s Community Development Agency. This working group is comprised of governmental agencies and private corporations, and is focused on developing strategies to foster business growth in unincorporated Alameda County. Maintaining sewer connection rates at their current levels will allow new businesses to establish with less startup costs and allow for existing businesses to expand in Castro Valley.
