CVSan Hiring Engineering Technician

Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the position of Engineering Technician. Engineering Technicians are responsible for a variety of technical field and office duties including performing sanitary sewer inspections, providing technical assistance to the public, maintaining engineering records, preparing reports, and performing basic engineering calculations.

This full-time, non-exempt position requires the equivalent to the completion of two years of college-level coursework in civil engineering and/or drafting and two years of experience in field or office engineering technical support or drafting. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with engineering drafting, surveying, map checking, construction inspection, materials testing, and basic engineering design.
