CVSan offers FREE Repair Workshop at Castro Valley Library

CVSan will be presenting its second of two Castro Valley Fixit Clinics for 2016 at the Castro Valley Library (3600 Norbridge Avenue) on Saturday, August 6th, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. CVSan’s June 18th event was well-attended.

The public is invited to bring broken, non-functioning electronics, small appliances, computers, toys, bicycles, etc. for assessment, disassembly, and possible repair. Bring items for mending; a public sewing machine will be available for textile repairs too. Fixit Clinic Coaches will be on hand to guide participants through the repair process.

A workspace, specialty tools, and guidance will be provided. Whether items are fixed or not, attendees will learn more about how the item was manufactured and how it worked. Children must be monitored by a parent/adult at all times.
