CVSan’s Naomi Lue Selected for Statewide Leadership Program

CASTRO VALLEY, CA – Leadership California has selected Naomi Lue, Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan)’s Solid Waste Supervisor, as a member of its California Issues & Trends Program’s (CIT) Class of 2018, and awarded her a $2,000 Pamela Hemann Scholarship.

California Issues & Trends is a prestigious, yearlong program for 60 women leaders from across the state of California. Naomi Lue has been an employee of CVSan for more than 15 years and oversees and directs Castro Valley’s award-winning Zero Waste programs and services.

The CIT Program provides focused programming for women leaders, introducing them to critical public and private sector issues and enhancing their competitive knowledge on California from state, national, and global perspectives. The 1,600 alumnae of the CIT are empowered to contribute more fully to California’s vision for the future and to the communities and companies in which they live and work.

Ms. Lue expressed her enthusiasm by saying, “I look forward to connecting with women leaders and practitioners from across the state while promoting creativity and innovation through the sharing of ideas and best practices.”
