CVSan Scholarship for High School Seniors

Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2016/17 CVSan Environmental Leader in Waste Reduction Scholarship. Up to two high school seniors will be awarded $500 scholarships in order to recognize Castro Valley students who are helping their school reduce waste through utilizing the tenets of the 4Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot.

CVSan values educating the community on how to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. This scholarship is intended to foster environmental stewardship and the leadership of those high school seniors who are taking action and encouraging environmental awareness within their school and community.

Scholarship applications can be downloaded at cvsan.org/studentscholarship. Applications must be received by Friday, March 31, 2017 by 2:00 p.m., no exceptions.
