CVSan Seeks Members for Community Advisory Committee
CVSan is seeking two community members to fill the vacancies on the ten-member Committee.
CASTRO VALLEY, CA – Are you looking to make a difference in your community? Are you available for nine evening meetings a year over the next two years? If so, Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) has a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) that provides guidance on a variety of wastewater and solid waste (garbage, recycling, and organics) issues.
CVSan is seeking two community members to fill the vacancies on the ten-member Committee. The Committee meets on the second Thursday of the month from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to provide input on CVSan’s programs. For example, this year the CAC assisted with creating CVSan’s new residential recycling guide, Castro Valley Fall Festival booth design, and new website that is currently being developed.
If you are interested in being a CAC member, submit a letter of interest to Public Outreach Specialist, Natalie Croak, 21040 Marshall Street, Castro Valley 94546 by November 30, 2018. Your letter should include a statement of your interest to serve on the CAC and any qualifications you believe would be of interest to the Board of Directors. Members must live within CVSan’s service area. This opportunity is open to high school students and adults.
