CVSan: Textile Collection Week Results!
CVSan residents set out 11,650 pounds of bagged textiles curbside for collection by ACI.
Thank you, Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) residents, for participating in another successful Textile Collection Week!
Between October 3rd – 7th, CVSan residents set out bagged textiles curbside for collection by Alameda County Industries (ACI). A grand total of 11,650 pounds of textiles were diverted from the landfill! These textiles were donated to Recycle for Change, an organization that distributes the textiles for reuse and recycling. Great job to the CVSan community for helping to prevent this material from going to the landfill and for participating in the Reuse aspect of the 4Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot)!
The next Textile Collection Week will take place the week of June 5 - 9, 2023, on your regular collection day. Visit cvsan.org/Textiles for more information.
