CVSan: Textile Collection Week Results

Between June 5th – 9th, Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) residents set out bagged textiles curbside for collection by Alameda County Industries (ACI). A grand total of 9,420 pounds of textiles were collected and diverted from the landfill! These textiles were donated to Recycle for Change, an organization that distributes the textiles for reuse and recycling. Great job to the CVSan community for helping to prevent this material from going to the landfill and for participating in the Reuse aspect of the 4Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot)!
