CVSan’s recent Textile Collection Week was a huge success! During October 7th – 11th, CVSan residents set out bagged textiles at the curb for collection by Alameda County Industries (ACI) on their regular collection day. A grand total of 11,654 lbs. of textiles was collected and diverted from the landfill! CVSan residents set out items such as clothing, linens, shoes, and stuffed animals. Charity organization St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) in Oregon, will sort and distribute the textiles for resale at various SVDP retail locations and recycling.

The next collection of textiles will be at CVSan’s Recycles Day event on April 25, 2020. Visit cvsan.org/RecyclesDay for more information.
