Davis Street Transfer Station Tour

Twelve attendees experienced a firsthand look at the transfer facilities for various materials.

On Saturday, July 28th, Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) in coordination with Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc. (WMAC) hosted a free tour of the Davis Street Transfer Station for CVSan residents and business owners. Twelve attendees experienced a firsthand look at the organics transfer facility, garbage transfer facility, construction & demolition material recovery facility, and the WMEarthCare Center, where locally sourced and produced compost and mulch are made available for the public.
