Authors Alec Nevala-Lee and David Teves, both with strong ties to Castro Valley and Hayward, will talk about their new novels in an "Evening with the Authors" event.
The public is cordially invited to hear them speak about their present work as well as future writing projects. Parking is available at the rear of the building.
Alec Nevala-Lee’s The Icon Thief is his first full-length work of fiction, although five of his short stories have previously been published in Analog, the well-known science fiction magazine. (One of the stories has been chosen for inclusion in a forthcoming anthology.)

A fast-paced thriller, The Icon Thief is the first of a three book contract Nevala-Lee has with his publisher, Signet Penguin. Nevala-Lee is a Chicago-based writer, originally from Castro Valley. The manuscript for the second novel is already completed.
Although he was born on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, David Teves places much of A Matter of Time in Hayward, where he lived for many years. In fact, his hobby is history of the area. Time shifts easily from century to century in his plot, thanks to a scientific break-through from the future. His characters mingle easily in this time travel/romance/mystery.

Teves has numerous short stories as well as two novels in print and available on Kindle and is well along with his next novel, also in the science fiction genre.
