Dorris-Eaton is an independent school serving students from preschool through eighth grade. For more than 70 years, we have earned a reputation for exceptional teaching and academic excellence. Our six-acre preschool campus in Alamo offers a warm, nurturing environment where young learners explore, discover, and develop confidence. A rich curriculum, complemented by classes in art, Spanish, and music, gives children a solid foundation for kindergarten and the years ahead. At our K–8 San Ramon campus, the curriculum emphasizes strong academic fundamentals while encouraging critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. Classes in art, Spanish, music, and physical education, along with a wide variety of electives for students in grades 6–8, broaden the educational experience. Small class sizes allow teachers to recognize individual strengths, provide meaningful feedback, and help students build effective study habits and communication skills. Both campuses offer before- and after-school care as well as summer workshops. In San Ramon, after-school offerings include soccer, piano, robotics, chess, and 3D printing and design. Character development is woven throughout the school day. Students learn and practice kindness, respect, responsibility, and a growth mindset, while community service, school-wide volunteer programs, and age-appropriate leadership opportunities foster a sense of social responsibility.

Be one of the first 100 people thorugh the door and receive a special gift.  Admission is free and the public is welcome. You do not need to be a Castro Valley resident to attend.
