Firefighter Hurt, Elderly Residents Displaced By Cherryland Fire
The fire broke out Monday night.
CHERRYLAND, CA — A blaze injured a firefighter and displaced two people Monday night in Alameda County's unincorporated area of Cherryland, according to fire officials.
The Alameda County Fire Department said crews were alerted around 8:10 p.m. to a structure fire in the 200 block of Sunset Boulevard.
According to fire officials, the fire was contained in the bedroom on the second floor of a two-story townhouse.

Two elderly residents were displaced. A firefighter reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
