Hayward To Resume Street Sweeping June 15

When operational, every Hayward street is swept once every two weeks.

Press release from the City of Hayward:

June 12, 2020

HAYWARD, Calif., June 9, 2020— City street sweeping services will resume Monday, June 15, Hayward Maintenance Service Director Todd Rullman announced today.

The resumption of street sweeping coincides with a request that residents once again begin observing and complying with neighborhood parking regulations.

Enforcement of parking regulations won’t begin until Monday, Aug. 3. In the meantime, enforcement personnel will be distributing informational flyers instead of parking tickets.

Hayward suspended street-sweeping and associated parking regulations in March in response to COVID-19 and in light of Alameda County health orders to shelter-in-place. When operational, every Hayward street is swept once every two weeks.

For more information, members of the public are invited to call Maintenance Services administration at (510) 881-7745.
