Hit-And-Run Driver Kills Pedestrian In Hayward

HAYWARD, CA — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision Wednesday morning in Hayward, police said.

The collision was reported at 7:50 a.m. at Harris Road and Manon Avenue.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Hayward Police spokesperson Officer Cassondra Fovel said.

The driver did not stop initially, but returned to the scene and is cooperating with police, Fovel said.

Even though the driver returned, police are investigating the collision as a hit-and-run, Fovel said.
