Jackknifed Truck Cleared On I-580
All lanes were blocked for two hours, causing a monumental backup.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — A jackknifed tractor-trailer rig on westbound I-580 has finally been removed and a fuel spill cleaned up, all all lanes of traffic once again moving. When the crash first happened, at around 11:20 a.m., all lanes were blocked. The final lane reopened at 2:14 p.m., according to the CHP.
While the road is open, the backup is still clearing. It should dissipate before the evening commute.
The crash was west of Eden Canyon Road in Castro Valley.
