'Blazing Maple': Fremont Photo Of The Day

FREMONT, CA — Today's photo of the day comes from Paul Sethy, who captured his neighbor's "Blazing Maple" tree in the Fremont Mission Hills.

The trees in the area are generally a mix of fall colors, such as yellow, orange and red, Paul said.

"But this one really caught my eye because it was brilliantly, almost entirely, deep red, beautifully contrasting with the surrounding greenery," Paul added. "Fall is definitely on display right now!"

Thanks for sharing, Paul!.

If you have an awesome photo of nature, breathtaking scenery, kids caught being kids, a pet doing something funny, or something unusual you happen to catch with your camera, we'd love to feature it on Patch.

We're looking for high-resolution images that reflect the beauty and fun that is Northern California, and that show off your unique talents. Cell phone images are fine.
