Ladybugs Mass In Regional Park: Photos Of The Day

Monarch butterflies hang out in Eucalyptus trees on the Central Coast. Maybe Oakland can become a tourist destination for bug enthusiasts!

OAKLAND, CA — Many gardeners who grow their own fruits, vegetables and herbs purchase ladybugs to eat garden pests, rather than spray pesticides. Organic gardening without surrendering too much of your harvest to harmful bugs.

Winnie Hall Wright of Castro Valley found out where they go in the winter. She writes, "These shots were taken at Redwood Regional Park in Oakland. The ladybugs come every Oct. to hibernate. It's such a beautiful site to see. Hope you like them and choose whatever one you like."

We like them all! Thanks for sharing, Winnie.
