Missing 77-Year-Old Last Seen In Castro Valley: Sheriff

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 77-year-old who was last seen walking in Castro Valley on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say Herman Pettigrew, 77, was last seen walking eastbound in the 18800 block of Carlton Avenue in Castro Valley at around 3 p.m.

"Pettigrew has diagnosed cognitive impairment and is traveling without a cell phone," the Alameda County Sheriff's Office said in a statement early Wednesday morning. "He may be unfamiliar with public transportation and possibly without money."

Leal-Rodriguez is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds. According to police, he has white hair and brown eyes.

The 77-year-old was last seen wearing a blue beanie, glasses, a black jacket, a redundershirt, white pants and black shoes, police said.
