New Cancer Survivorship Series Begins in March

Eden Medical Center’s cancer program, in collaboration with Cancer Support Community, is happy to announce a new Cancer Survivorship Series! The series will be held weekly, on Mondays, from March 7 to May 2, 4 to 6 p.m. (No class on March 21.)

This virtual workshop will focus on survivorship practices to enhance your quality of life. If you, a friend, or family member is interested in participating, please contact Cancer Support Community to register at (925) 933-0107. See below for additional details.

The Return to Wellness Series with Jill Stewart, LMFT, CSC Therapist Facilitator, is an eight-week series for people who have completed treatment with a focus on survivorship practices that enhance quality of life and help to decrease the risk of recurrence. The series includes group support to discuss the emotional aspects of survivorship. There will be presentations on nutrition addressing how diet can impact recovery and survivorship. Sessions will include an in-class exercise component and will cover how to increase physical activity.
