Dorris-Eaton is an independent school serving students from preschool through eighth grade. For more than 70 years, we have earned a reputation for exceptional teaching and academic excellence. Our six-acre preschool campus in Alamo offers a warm, nurturing environment where young learners explore, discover, and develop confidence. A rich curriculum, complemented by classes in art, Spanish, and music, gives children a solid foundation for kindergarten and the years ahead. At our K–8 San Ramon campus, the curriculum emphasizes strong academic fundamentals while encouraging critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. Classes in art, Spanish, music, and physical education, along with a wide variety of electives for students in grades 6–8, broaden the educational experience. Small class sizes allow teachers to recognize individual strengths, provide meaningful feedback, and help students build effective study habits and communication skills. Known as Captain Mama / Capitán Mamá in national airshow and school assembly circles, Graciela is a bilingual living-history STEM engagement performer who shares her unusual daughter-of-Mexican-immigrants-to-military-aviator journey through UC Berkeley and resources for HOW students can launch their own aviation careers too.
