Obituary: Jeffrey Brian Raines, 58, Castro Valley Native

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Jeffrey Brian Raines, 58, was raised in Castro Valley. He passed away July 23, 2016, after a two year cancer battle.

Jeff was born in Oakland. His parents were Dolores and Edward Raines. He later moved to Sonora.

Raines is survived by his second wife, Penny, and their two children, Kailey and Justin; his first wife, April, and their son, Jason; his granddaughters, Madyson and Kiera; his mother, Dolores; his brothers, Randy and Steve.

Raines worked in banking, coached Little League, and volunteered with civic organizations and clubs.

A celebration of life will be hosted for friends and family at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at the Willow Springs Clubhouse. His family requests that you bring photos of Jeff.
