$10K Reward Offered For The Arrest Of This Hayward Homicide Suspect
Police consider the man to be armed and dangerous.

HAYWARD, CA — Hayward Police have released a photo of the man they believe is responsible for gunning down two people in the presence of a 5-year-old child, killing one and critically injuring the other. The child was not harmed. Vaughn Boatner, 33, a San Mateo resident, " is believed to be armed and is considered dangerous," the Hayward Police Department said in an update to the community.
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of Boatner.
The shooting took place at a Hayward apartment on May 11. The resident, Monique Aldridge, 30, was killed. A 28-year-old Oakland man survived his injuries. Investigators believe that he was in a romantic relationship with the woman.

The child is the son of the woman who died and the suspect, Boatner.
"Following his identification, an arrest warrant for Boatner and search warrant for his residence were authored and approved," Hayward Police report. "Boatner was not located inside the residence and is considered at-large. Boatner is believed to be armed and is considered dangerous. It is believed Boatner has access to various vehicles, and it is still being determined what mode of transportation he currently utilizes."
