Recycle Your Textiles Curbside

Did you know that CVSan residents can now recycle textiles curbside? Twice a year, during the first full weeks of June and October, CVSan residents can set out usable and non-usable textiles curbside for pick up at no additional charge. Textiles include items such as clothing, towels, linens, bathmats, curtains, shoes, stuffed animals in clean and good condition, area rugs (no larger than 9’x12’), etc.

The next collection will occur from October 7th – 11th. Single-family residents, please place bagged textiles curbside on your regular recycling collection day. Multi-family residents, please check with your property manager for your textile collection day and collection area. For all residents, please set out textiles by 6:00 am on your collection day.

Unacceptable items include textiles that are wet, moldy, or have human biowaste, blood, toxic chemicals, or motor oil on them. No light-up shoes or clothes. No carpet. Customers will not receive a tax-deductible receipt.

Textiles, including carpet, will also be accepted at CVSan’s April 25, 2020 Recycles Day event: cvsan.org/RecyclesDay.
