CASTRO VALLEY, CA — If you've been waiting anxiously for the opening of Redwood Road, the Alameda County Public Works Agency has some disappointing news - it is extending the closure at mile marker 7.38 through February 2018.
Rains in mid-December and January saturated the worksite and compromised critical supports necessary for the reconstruction of the roadway.
Construction efforts cannot resume until the worksite is dry.
