Redwood Road Reopens To All Traffic

The list of work completed by crews is impressive.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA – The Alameda County Public Works Agency announced Friday that Redwood Road has reopened to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

It took a full year to repair the road that was washed out in March of 2017 by relentless storms.

Workers completed extensive repairs of Redwood Road at mile marker 7.38 including building a retaining wall, slope grading, installing subbase for a new section of roadway, embankment erosion repairs, a drainage system, and resurfacing and striping the travel lanes.
