School Canceled In Castro Valley On Friday

The hazardous smoke has created unhealthy conditions for much of the region over the past few days.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — School has been canceled Friday for students and staff in the Castro Valley Unified School District. Smoke from the Camp Fire in Butte County continues to cause unhealthy air quality in the Bay Area and the haze is expected to linger through Monday, air quality officials said. The hazardous smoke has created unhealthy conditions for much of the region over the past few days.
