Cull Canyon's Sandy White Beach Opens Saturday for Swim Season

Swimming is allowed only when lifeguards are on duty.

East Bay Regional Park District

There are plenty of swimming opportunities for you in the East Bay Regional Park District, with six open-water lakefront beaches, three chlorinated lagoons, two pools, and two bay shoreline beaches.

Castro Valley's park is the Cull Canyon Regional Recreational Area at 18627 Cull Canyon Road, northeast of Heyer and Center streets. (510) 537-2240.

The swim complex, including bathhouse, vending machines and lifeguard service, is open during the warm weather season. It is ideal for families with small children, who will enjoy splashing in the shallows and playing on the white, sandy beach. Swimming is allowed only when lifeguards are on duty.

$2.50 seniors 62+ or disabled
FREE under 1 year

The swim area is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and holidays from April 30 to June 17, and daily from June 18 to Aug. 28.
