Castro Valley Mom Violently Abused Son For Months Before Arrest: Report

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — A 43-year-old Castro Valley mother is facing several charges in connection with the months-long abuse of her teenage son, according to a report from The Mercury News.

The abuse dates back to at least May 2025, according to the report. On one occasion, the mother pulled out a gun on her son, according to the report.

During another incident on March 1, she put a knife to her son's neck and face, according to the report.

The woman, who faces several charges, including child abuse and assault with a deadly weapon, has since been released from jail under the condition that she undergo alcohol recovery therapy, according to the report.
